Here is another tea related goodie that has come in the mail for the previous two months. What is most interesting for you is, it looks as if you could receive it yourself. My request for goodies from The Republic of Tea was that I was put on their catalog mailing list, and each month they send out a one tea bag sample along with their catalog. However, in today’s marketing savvy world there is a chance that you need to be a past purchaser or other type of VIP such as the author of Goodies Blog to receive the tea sample with your catalog. I’d be interested to know if others are receiving the sample.

Last month, the sample was an Earl Greyer tea bag, this month Blackberry Sage. This is a very good way to distinguish their catalog from the other junk mail that one receives. People will rip open the catalog each month to at a minimum take the sample, stick it in their tea bag storage area, and most likely they will browse the catalog a little. The sample is fairly cheap to produce and it helps the overall branding of each catalog as the tea matches the cover art.

I’ve been a longtime drinker of the Ginger Peach tea. The peach flavor is nice when melded with the hints of ginger and both are not overpowered by its black tea base. That’s probably why it is their best-selling tea. This month’s sample of Blackberry Sage continues that tradition. It has a very strong aroma of blackberries when in the bag, and in the cup a mild floral taste that lingers even as it is over steeped.

So if you want sign up for a nice catalog of teas, visit the catalog request page, there is a chance that you might receive some nice tea samples along with it! Their catalog also features a large selection of cups, teapots, jams, and other gift items. It’s rather amazing to see a tea company easily fill up 48 pages with tea and an assortment of tea products.
