Just in case you are wondering what exactly Goodiesblog.com is, here is an explanation sent to a company who was nice enough to ask what I hope to achieve if they participate.

Thank you for your response to my request for goodies and your inquiry as to how you will benefit from sharing goodies with Goodiesblog.com. I hope to help explain my on-line publication to you by sharing how the readers, the manufacturers who send Goodieblogs.com goodies, and myself benefit from my publication.

Goodieblogs.com evaluates interesting promotional items, foodstuffs, and household items which strike us as innovative, unique, timely or quality improvements on a classic theme. My readers visit the site daily for two reasons: to read the reviews I post regarding goodies and to see how manufacturers respond to my request for goodies. Thus, for the readers it is not only entertaining but also informative with reviews and photos of the products received. Goodieblog.com started publication in February 2005, approximately 500 people visit the site or read the site’s content via rss feeds daily.

Manufacturers who chose to send me goodies benefit from the exposure of their products to potential customers. Ideally, manufacturers send me new or improved products or promotional goodies relating to their industry. I photograph all goodies received and write a review with a photograph for all items I find significant. Items which I choose not to review will still be featured in a post regarding the goodies received with a photograph. The benefit to manufacturers is that they expose their products to potential customers in an interesting on-line publication.

For me, the on-line publication is solely published as a hobby. The only benefit to me is receiving goodies which I get to consume or use and evaluate for my readers.

Should you find that inclusion in my web publication benefits your business needs, I seek interesting promotional items, foodstuffs, and household items which are innovative, unique, timely or quality improvements on a classic theme.

The person responded nicely saying that it sounded like a fun hobby and my information would be forwarded up the chain of command.

Unfortunately, I sent the letter out with goodiesblog.com misspelled without the letter “s” in the name in three places, so they could not find my site…. Even with an editor reviewing my writing my spelling skills haunt me.
