The Old Orchard six pack cooler makes me think about the promotional goodie industry and how mass production standardizes goodies across companies. Think of a beverage industry conference – what goodies do you think most companies will offer? How about six pack beverage coolers? Now of those companies, how many distribute their products as six packs? Or picking the software industry, how many of the firms giving out stress balls really have a product that relates to stress (in a positive way)? It seems to me like the variety of goodies is limited because of mass production.
That said I found the Old Orchard six pack cooler mildly significant for me personally because I don’t have other six pack cooler bags and it will be useful. Also since the bag is not insulated, when I’m not using it, I can store it flat.

Not related to the goodies Old Orchard sent, nor my site – you can get a free shirt from Old Orchard if you collect 5 UPC’s and send them in with $3. Then if you send them a photo of yourself in the shirt you might win an iPod Photo! See the details here.
They have a nice selection of shirts. If you drink Old Orchard, you should participate. And be sure to send in your photo, I want someone to win the iPod…
