Today, I received 3 unopened letters back marked return to sender or insufficient address courtesy of the post office. The moral of the story is the post office does not like the addresses printed on product boxes! Of the 26 letters sent, 18 lacked a street address or post office box number.
Letters addressed to the following companies were returned:
The Republic of Tea
Superior Confections, Inc.
Concord Beverage LP
For all of them a quick internet search turned up the complete address. In each case, only the street address was missing from the letter. Therefore, I’m enclosing each letter in a new envelope and resending it.
Of note, per the The Republic of Tea website the person I should be addressing my request to is the “Minister of Information” rather than the “Marketing Department.” Also recently a Concord Beverage was purchased by the CA based Bay Area Beverage Company – it could be the same Concord Beverage but I can not verify it.
From now on, I’ll make sure to add the street address to the letters. Hopefully, I don’t get back the remaining 15 letters without street numbers.
